Madagascar.... Beauty in a Country

Madagascar is one of the last great places to visit that haven't been overtaken by hordes of other tourists. This probably because its proximity to no other huge tourist vacation spot. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to.

One of the things I think you should see is the reef right off the coast in the Indian Ocean. I have never seen water so clear or had a more serene then the ride on the traditional boat in that region. Spend the airfare and visit this gorgeous country... you won't regret it!

Copenhagen Public Baths

Because of the warmth of their warm water, Copenhagen has opened up this year to public baths in it's harbor. As one of the most progressive cities in the world, it makes sense to not waste construction and space for something that the planet already gives us.

The creation of the baths have come with cheers from both the national and international communities. People are loving the idea of reusing things like old harbors to bring back both the public and cost effective ways to have fun.

I hope you had your fun before Lent

One of the Global Events that you really need to go to is Carnival in Brazil. There is such a great tradition of parades and other amazing events. Yes, I would not recommend this event for children just because there is a good deal of drinking and adults playing around.

It is completely safe during this time. The Brazil police keep a good control over the events and just want everyone to have a good time. So one of these years, celebrate Fat Tuesday the way it is supposed to be celebrate down in South America.

Your last chance for visiting earth's last frontier

The tourism market to Antarctica may soon be coming to an icy halt. Because of the ice loss and the new restriction on "Heavy Oil" ships (which include most cruise ships), the most isolated place in the world may only be visited by scientists in the near future.

There is a big push by the tourism companies to for anyone who is interested in going to the icy continent to sign up for it now because there might be the chance in the future and if there it will be quite expensive. So if this has ever been a destination spot of yours, this will be the time for you to mark this off your list.

Skiing the Alps

As anyone who enjoys winter sports knows, you haven't ever enjoyed good snow until you have been to the Alps. The old country definitely has a majority of great ski resorts along the six countries that have a part of the Alps in them.

So though, it is not just an event going on for a short time but stretching throughout the entire winter months from December to April. Making a trip is well worth the experience and the memories. Go where they are been enjoy the snow for thousands of year, and know how to do it right.

Rome... in the off season

Now, in my opinion this is the best time to go to Rome. Because of it's location so close to the Mediterranean, it stays quite warm and besides a little bit of rain, it is quite nice. I actually prefer Rome after a storm because it cleans up a lot of the smog that is in the air.

When in Rome... you need to hit the sites. In my opinion, you need to hit the Colosseum, Vatican City, the Spanish Steps and the Senate. Those are the definite visits, though there are amazing other sites to see as well.

If you are a movie buff and you like the movies like "Roman Holiday" and "Only You" you need to stop by the face at Bocca della Verita. This a great photo opt and it gets to you a side of Rome that usually doesn't pull many tourist. Another part of Rome I like, is the Trevi fountain. It is one of the largest fountains in Rome. There is also a myth that goes along with this fountian, if you throw in one coin, you will have a speedy return to Rome, if you throw in two coins, you will fall in love in Rome. So of course, I threw in two coins.
